URBAN HEALTH INITIATIVE FOR ALL!

Posted by ginnypub on March 3, 2009

What do you call health “care” involving Michelle (finally proud of her country) Soetoro, David (astroturfer) Axelrod, Valerie (slumlord) Jarrett, Dr. Eric (Rezko kickbacks) Whitaker, Tony (convicted felon slumlord) Rezko and Rod (impeached governor) Blagojevich?

The president of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Dr. Nick Jouriles, calls it “dangerously close to ‘patient dumping,’ a practice made illegal by the Emergency Medical Labor and Treatment Act, and reflected an effort to ‘cherry pick’ wealthy patients over poor.”

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ),  said its an effort to “cut coverage for the poor.”

I think most clear-thinking individuals would call it PATIENT DUMPING.

But what is the Soetoro/Axelrod/Jarrett/Whittaker/Rezko/Blagojevich “health care” plan called?

THE URBAN HEALTH INITIATIVE

Here’s how it works:

Suppose you’re a poor Southside Chicago resident that used to live in a government-subsidized housing unit owned by Valerie Jarrett or Tony Rezko, before the building was condemned, closed and demolished. Your 2-yr-old has eaten some lead-based paint chips that have fallen off the wall and into his crib. He is crying from stomach pains. You’re horrified. You scoop him up, run to a bus stop and get him to the Emergency Room at the University of Chicago. You try as best you can to comfort your child while checking in at the reception desk. “No, I don’t have insurance”, you tell the receptionist, as you fumble for a tissue to wipe up some of the vomit your son has just regurgitated on the floor.

You take your crying child to the waiting room to anxiously await his treatment. After an hour, you notice that several well-dressed individuals have been called back, even though they arrived after you and your son. After 3 hours, you keep putting your face close to your child’s mouth and nose because he has fallen into a deep sleep and you’re afraid he may die in your arms. After 4 hours, a shuttle bus arrives to take you and your son (free of charge) to a “less expensive” clinic….

How is the Chicago Urban Health Initiative relevant to most Americans?

Suppose you’ve signed up for SoetoroCare, outlined in the “stimulus bill”. Your child is very sick…..

Bill Moyers-Homo Hunter

Posted by ginnypub on February 23, 2009

From the Wall Street Journal:

Under the Freedom of Information Act, the Washington Post has obtained a few of the former FBI director’s secret files. According to a Thursday front-page story, Hoover was “consumed” with exposing a (nonexistent) relationship between a gay photographer and Jack Valenti, the late film industry lobbyist who was then an aide to Lyndon Johnson. Hoover’s M.O. was to amass incriminating personal information as political blackmail.

But as the Post reports in passing, the dossier also reveals that Mr. Moyers — then a special assistant to LBJ — requested in 1964 that Hoover’s G-men “investigate two other administration figures who were ‘suspected as having homosexual tendencies.'”

Amid “bits of dirt on figures such as Martin Luther King,” Judge Silberman found a 1964 memo from Mr. Moyers directing Hoover’s agents to investigate Barry Goldwater’s campaign staff for evidence of homosexual activity. A few weeks before, an LBJ aide named Walter Jenkins had been arrested in a men’s bathroom, and Mr. Silberman wrote that Mr. Moyers and his boss evidently wanted leverage in the event Goldwater tried to use the liaison against them. (He didn’t, as it happened.)

When that episode became public after Mr. Silberman testified, an irate Mr. Moyers called him and, with typical delicacy, accused him of falling for forged CIA memos. Mr. Silberman offered to study the matter and, should Mr. Moyers’s allegations pan out, he would publicly exonerate him. “There was a pause on the line and then he said, ‘I was very young. How will I explain this to my children?’ And then he rang off.”

Bill Moyers is disputably the king of unsubstantiated allegations against the Bush Administration. The only thing he despises as much as Karl Rove is a Christian house of worship. How his ass must be chafing now that the FOIA has exposed him as a little dirt-digging homophobic cretin; especially in light of the fact that no evidence has ever surfaced of Rove doing anything Moyers ever accused him of.

This video of a former Senior Presidential Adviser sliming another is especially SWEET.

Perriello and Haskells Stimulating the 5th

Posted by ginnypub on February 19, 2009

U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello (D-VA-5th), founder of Res Publica (If you aren’t a socialist, you’re selfish) and Avaaz (We hate Jews and you should, too), which is a spin-off combining Res Publica and MoveOn (We’re traitors and you should hate America, too), spoke at Martinsville High School yesterday.

The Martinsville Bulletin, owned by Robert and Elizabeth Haskell, who award grants to ACORN and convicted domestic terrorist Bernadine Dohrn,  among others, ran a story today about Perriello’s visit.

“Sizing up the stimulus”-Perriello tells bill’s impact

If federal, state and local officials work together to use the funds from the $787 billion stimulus bill, the economy will begin to recover from this “very, very serious crisis,” 5th District U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello said Wednesday.

Perriello spoke at a forum at Martinsville High School. He explained some of the highlights of the bill and how Virginians will be helped, and then fielded questions about the stimulus bill and other subjects from more than a dozen people. Nearly 100 people attended the event, which lasted more than an hour. Here’s a photo of the “nearly 100 people”.

According to Perriello and a press release from his office, the stimulus bill:

• Provides tax relief for families and small businesses. More than 35 percent of the package will provide direct tax relief to 95 percent of American workers and spur job growth for businesses. (About that “direct tax relief”…It was cut from $500 for individuals and $1000 to couples down to $400 and $800. For 6 months, June-Dec, 2009, workers will get $13 more in their paychecks per week.  In January 2010, that falls to $8.)

According to a new White House estimate, 7,800 jobs will be created or saved in the 5th District as a result of this stimulus package, 200 more than estimated earlier, said Jessica Barba, Perriello’s press secretary. (About those jobs…Small business tax benefit was gutted from $67 billion to only $4 billion. In place of relief for the little guy, a $3.2 billion tax break for General Motors Corp was added.)

Nita Hairston of Henry County was at the forum with her sons Benton and Bryant Hairston, 10th-graders at Martinsville High School who are in the JROTC program at the school. They want to go to Virginia Military Institute and enter the military.

She asked Perriello about the war in Afghanistan. Perriello said the United States needs a “force commitment” but needs to articulate its strategy and end goal. (Mrs. Hairston, you’ll notice your question wasn’t answered. Here’s why:

Veterans: Nearly all items for Veterans Affairs were reduced and the $2 billion the Senate wanted for VA construction was wiped out altogether. The VA did get one thing: $1 billion for medical facilities renovation and retooling.

Military construction: Cut and put into a general pot, a change from targeted money for each branch of the services. Army construction alone went from $600 million in the Senate and $900 million in the House to $180 million in the final bill. But negotiators compromised over a general military construction fund — the House wanted $3.75 billion while the Senate allocated $118 million and settled on $1.45 billion for all services. )

FBI: Senate had allocated $475 million but all was cut out of final bill.

Soul is More than a James Brown CD

Posted by ginnypub on February 19, 2009

The economic “crisis” which is sliding into a “catastrophe” wasn’t on Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi’s mind when she and her husband jetted off to Rome for a vacation. Our children and grandchildren are funding the Pelosis’ photo opportunities. By “our” children and grandchildren, I mean the children and grandchildren of those of us who pay federal taxes, earn an income, own a small business and pay our mortgages on time. By “us”, I mean the ones who the Speaker of the House of U.S. Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, decided behind a closed door have to pay labor unions, ACORN, Fannie and Freddie and banks for massive failures, mismanagement and fraud.

This trip is the ultimate “in your face”, “I won”, moment.

How appropriate and deserving that in return for her unmitigated arrogance, Mzzz Pelosi got her own “in your face”  in the form of a “come to Jesus” moment.

The Vatican:

TESTO IN LINGUA INGLESE

Following the General Audience the Holy Father briefly greeted Mrs Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, together with her entourage.

His Holiness took the opportunity to speak of the requirements of the natural moral law and the Church’s consistent teaching on the dignity of human life from conception to natural death which enjoin all Catholics, and especially legislators, jurists and those responsible for the common good of society, to work in cooperation with all men and women of good will in creating a just system of laws capable of protecting human life at all stages of its development.

[00300-02.01]

[B0117-XX.01]

San Fran Nan undoubtedly thought this would be a great photo-op to prove her relevancy outside the communities of cross dressers, child rapists and partial birth abortionists. Ah, but the Holy Father does not appreciate arrogant duplicity.

Just For You, CATO

Posted by ginnypub on February 13, 2009

I like posting at the Martinsville Media Forum. There’s a mix of everything there; Cousin Eddies, Libertarians, Pseudo-intellectuals, Christian Conservatives, Communist Party believers, really nice people, really cruel people and some just plain regular folk. Bill Wyatt, the owner of Martinsville Media, has some good rules there about personal attacks and cursing. Since that’s what I’m about to do, I’ve decided to post a response to this post here.

A new thread started by a regular poster, CATO, today: (note: While you’re reading through the misspellings…CATO is an ATTORNEY.)

Torture: What do we do?

With the statements of Conyers, Leahy, etc…it is clear that the Congress will do some sort of investigation into Bush Era policies with particular attention to allegations of rendition, secret prisons and torture. Quite frankly, I wish the relevany Chairman were a little more pragmatic instead of approaching the left wing fringe, but I beleive that an investigation is proper.

Here is what the ACLU is finidng out through FOIA requests:

http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Unredacted_documents_reveal_prisoners_tortured_to_0212.html

Note the article provides links to some of the actual documents. Some highlights are:

“In both cases, for example, [prisoners] were handcuffed to fixed objects above their heads in order to keep them awake,” reads the document. “Additionally, interrogations in both incidents involved the use of physical violence, including kicking, beating, and the use of “compliance blows” which involved striking the [prisoners] legs with the [interrogators] knees. In both cases, blunt force trauma to the legs was implicated in the deaths. In one case, a pulmonary embolism developed as a consequence of the blunt force trauma, and in the other case pre-existing coronary artery disease was complicated by the blunt force trauma.”

“[An] investigation launched after allegations that an Iraqi prisoner was subjected to torture and abuse at ‘The Disco’ (located in the Special Operations Force Compound in Mosul Airfield, Mosul, Iraq). The abuse consisted of filling his jumpsuit with ice, then hosing him down and making him stand for long periods of time, sometimes in front of an air conditioner; forcing him to lay down and drink water until he gagged, vomited or choked, having his head banged against a hot steel plate while hooded and interrogated; being forced to do leg lifts with bags of ice placed on his ankles, and being kicked when he could not do more.

I realize this will likely deteriorate into partisan idiocy, but this has to be investigated. In my mind, the focus should be on the POLICYMAKERS such as John Yoo, Gonzales, Addington, etc..and not on the boots on the ground. I was in the military long enough to know NCOs dont go rogue. They folow orders. I have never believed the “official” version of Abu Gharib and the lambs they offered for slaughter.

This is too important to sweep under the rug.

First of all, for anyone with so much shit for brains they don’t know what torture is, let me explain it:

THIS IS TORTURE

christian_beheading

This little girl is wearing her school uniform. She was kidnapped, tortured and beheaded because she is a Christian. The “Bush Era Policy-makers” didn’t do this.

nick-berg-beheading

This is Nick Berg’s head. It’s a still shot from the video his murderers posted of their great accomplishment. Ever see how “The Lambs” behead someone, dumbass? They don’t use a sword and whack it off. They slowly saw it off with a knife. Can you hear Nick Berg screaming, ass-wipe? I hope so. I hope it gets so loud the next time you blame America first, it keeps you awake at night. The “Bush Era Policy-makers” didn’t do this.

fallujah_captures_soldiers_murdered12

This is an American, dickhead. He was someone’s dad, son and husband. He was burned alive, dismembered and hung up like a piece of meat. Can you imagine what his body must smell like? I hope you can. I hope everytime you shower with some girly soap and splash on your “Eau de Big Pussy” cologne, you smell HIM instead. The “Bush Era Policy-makers” did this.

911jump

How difficult would it be to be given the choice of being incinerated or jump from a skyscraper? I hope the next time you’re making the decision to defend your “lambs”, you think about this man, maggot. The “Bush Era Policy-makers” didn’t do this.

9119ni1

What kind of torture would it be to sift through the fumes of toxic jet engine fuel, the smell of burnt flesh and tons of skyscraper cement looking for any scrap of your best friend? You’ve laughed with him and cried with him. He was there for your son’s christening and your daughter’s wedding. You’re the one he called when his mother died. You saw him just a couple of hours ago. What if it was 366 of your best friends, asshole? The “Bush Era Policy-makers” didn’t do this.

How many people in the United States of America do you think give one rat’s ass if “the lambs” get water poured up their noses, are subjected to rock music or deprived of 8 hours sleep? I would say, if you take out the old hippies, socialists, progressives and members of the peaceful religion of Islam, the number is ZERO.

I think Guantanamo was a mistake, also. The ones caught on the battlefield should have been tortured until useful information was extracted and verified and then killed. A good start would have been John Walker Lindh.

While we’re on the subject of torture, let us not forget infants, toddlers and children brutally raped, tortured and video-taped by sick, repulsive, wastes of human space? ACLU fan that you are, surely it must please you that it isn’t only Islamic serial mass murderers these slimes ardently support, but child rapists, also. The ACLU represents both groups pro bono.

Don’t bother wrapping yourself in the “moral authority” of an amoral group with the idiotic whining of “But if we totuuurrre, we’re no better than theemmm”…..

You and the ACLU are not just “no better than them”. You’re worse.

Nancy Pelosi’s Sonny Drysdale

Posted by ginnypub on February 13, 2009

Remember Sonny Drysdale on the Beverly Hillbillies? He was a 40-yr-old perennial college student and prissy mommy’s boy. Mommy always took care of him.

sonnydrysdalemommymrsdrysdale

Speaker of the U.S. House of Represetatives, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has her own Sonny. His name is Paul Pelosi, Jr. Mommy will pay you to play with Little Paulie.

Little Paulie holds three degrees from Georgetown University: a Bachelor of Arts in History (Cum Laude, 1991), a Juris Doctorate with an emphasis in International Business, and a Masters in Business Administration. He is an “independent adviser” and “independent consultant”.

On Dec 5, 2008 Blue Earth Solutions appointed Little Paulie to its Board of Directors.  In 2001, Little Paulie was appointed by Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr. to the San Francisco Commission on the Environment. Little Paulie is an adviser to Dr. Simon P. Worden, Director of NASA’s Ames Research Center. Little Paulie is an adviser for AirPatrol Corporation and “founding member” of Cisco Connected Urban Development. Cisco also employs Dr. Kaveh Safavi who developed a fully automated electronic medical record system. How much money is Mommy taking out of your pockets, your children’s pockets and your grandchildren’s pockets to pay for playing with Little Paulie?

90 BILLION DOLLARS**

She calls it the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Hush Little Baby. Don’t say a word. Mama’s gonna buy you a mockingbird. If that mockingbird won’t sing, Mama’s gonna buy you a diamond ring…

**As of 10:00pm 12Feb2009. No one has seen the revised bill except Mama and K Street lobbyists.

Take This Card…Take My House

Posted by ginnypub on February 11, 2009

Yesterday’s stop was in Florida in the  American Tour of the  Barry Soetoro’s Squirrel Revival of the First Self-Righteous Church.

By some miracle, a 61-yr-old homeless cancer patient (living in a pickup truck for a year) named Henrietta Hughes was able to obtain an advance ticket,  procure a front-row seat  and (this is REALLY a miracle) was called upon by Brother Barry himself!

A staffer later gave her a card to the head of the housing authority and she was told he would help her.

“That was my desire,” the 61-year-old woman said as she cried. “I said I just pray to the Lord.”

I haven’t heard yet if Henrietta has decided to keep the card to the Housing Authority that already has her on a 2-yr waiting list or the 3-bedroom house. I also haven’t heard yet if Henrietta has learned the difference between Fake Messiah Bullshit and Christian Conservative True Grit.

Martinsville’s Cousin Eddies

Posted by ginnypub on February 8, 2009

Cousin Eddie Johnson is a character in National Lampoon’s “Vacation” movies.

Cousin Eddie, his wife Catherine and two of their four children live in an RV. Cousin Eddie’s family has to eat Hamburger Helper without the hamburger. His children get no Christmas gifts. They have no indoor plumbing.

You see, Cousin Eddie supports his family on a disability pension from the Army. He has been out of work for 7 years. Why would a man allow his family to live in squalor; without even the basic essentials to sustain human life? “He’s been holding out for a management position”.

Cousin Eddie complains about the lack of funds from the federal government. “I got laid off when they closed that asbestos factory, and now wouldn’t you know it, the army cuts my disability pension because they said that the plate in my head wasn’t big enough”.

cousineddie

I grew up in a town full of Cousin Eddies and their off-spring, Cousin Eddie, Jr., Cousin Eddie III…..generations of Cousin Eddies. It’s called Martinsville, VA.

barrymartinsville

Today the Richmond Times Dispatch ran a story about Martinsville, VA. More specifically, a story about the jobless rate in Martinsville. The statewide jobless rate in the Commonwealth of Virginia is 5.4%. The jobless rate in Martinsville is 15.4%; the highest in the Commonwealth. How can this be? From the story:

The big plants started shutting or leaving more than a decade ago as federal trade policies changed, and more have closed in the past two years.

Today, 31.5 percent of Martinsville residents 25 or older do not have a high school diploma, compared with 18.5 percent statewide, according to census figures.

City Manager Clarence Monday: “With the manufacturing jobs gone or going, those who can find work are taking low-paying positions. A large percentage of our work force is underemployed. They’ve had to accept jobs that don’t have the same salary.”

Earlier this month, Barry Soetoro used a Martinsville family as poster children when he signed into  legislation the massive SCHIP expansion. How does Martinsville, VA react to its problems making the front page of the state’s largest newspaper and captured for eternity in a legislative bill-signing photo-op?

The Martinsville Bulletin completely ignored the jobless story. In its place, the Bulletins owners, Robert and Elizabeth Haskell, chose to publish on their editorial page praise for Barry Soetoro using the same poster family they themselves had used for a Georgetown University study that they themselves had funded.

Another shovel-ready success!

CAIRO (AP)Hamas negotiators left Egypt without a long-term cease-fire with Israel on Thursday — but not before some members of the militant group’s delegation were stopped at the Gaza border carrying millions in cash.

The delegation walked away from the cease-fire talks because of disagreements over the blockage on Gaza and border security. Talks will continue at a later date.

An Egyptian security official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, said the group initially refused to be searched by Egyptian authorities at the Rafah border crossing. When the group relented, authorities found $7 million and 2 million euros ($2.5 million) in cash in their suitcases. Another security official, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said $9 million and 2 million euros were found. The discrepancy could not be immediately explained.

The incident is a sensitive one for Egypt, particularly now, when Israel is demanding a halt to Hamas smuggling into Gaza as part of truce negotiations.

Israel and Hamas do not talk directly, so Egypt has been mediating the talks on solidifying the shaky cease-fire that went into effect on Jan. 18, ending Israel’s three-week offensive on Gaza.

Egypt had set Thursday as an expected date for reaching a long-term truce deal.

In 2006, a senior Hamas official bragged about successfully carrying $42 million across the border.

Arab banks have generally refused to transfer money to Gaza for fear of running afoul of the United States, which considers Hamas a terrorist organization. The money has helped keep afloat the Hamas government, which is generally shunned by foreign governments.

I’m Sorry, Kenneth Clodfelter

Posted by ginnypub on February 6, 2009

Sixteen days into his administration, Barry Soetoro has wiped out eight years of bringing Islamic serial mass murderers to justice. For anyone still doubting the lack of respect Soetoro holds for our warriors serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, this last act should erase all doubt.

WASHINGTON – The Pentagon’s senior judge overseeing terror trials at Guantanamo Bay dropped charges Thursday against an al-Qaida suspect in the 2000 USS Cole bombing, upholding President Barack Obama’s order to freeze military tribunals there.

The charges against suspected al-Qaida bomber Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri marked the last active Guantanamo war crimes case.

The legal move by Susan J. Crawford, the top legal authority for military trials at Guantanamo, brings all cases into compliance with Obama’s Jan. 22 executive order to halt terrorist court proceedings at the U.S. Navy base in Cuba.

Seventeen U.S. sailors died on Oct. 12, 2000, when al-Qaida suicide bombers steered an explosives-laden boat into the Cole, a guided-missile destroyer, as it sat in a Yemen port.

The Pentagon last summer charged al-Nashiri, a Saudi Arabian, with “organizing and directing” the bombing and planned to seek the death penalty in the case.

In his Jan. 22 order, Obama promised to shut down the Guantanamo prison within a year. The order also froze all Guantanamo detainee legal cases pending a three-month review as the Obama administration decides where — or whether — to prosecute the suspects who have been held there for years, most without charges.

John and Gloria Clodfelter, like Del. Frank Hargrove, I will remember Petty Officer 2nd Class Kenneth Eugene Clodfelter.

WHEREAS, a resident of Mechanicsville, Kenneth Clodfelter was a 1997 graduate of Lee-Davis High School, where he was a member of the football team; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Clodfelter, who was a Boy Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow, a volunteer firefighter, and a dedicated sailor, enlisted in the Navy after graduation from high school; and
