Maybe She Didn’t Pass The Drug Test

Posted by ginnypub on April 18, 2009

I’m sure everyone’s seen CNN’s Susan Roesgen having a little hissy fit at the Chicago Tea Party.

The crowd turned on her when she was rude and condescending to an attendee. “I think you get the general tenor of this,” she said. “It’s anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox.”

Of course,  if the Chicago Tea Party attendees had been dressed in pink costumes, burning the American flag and hadn’t bathed in God knows when, Mz. Roesgen would have knocked them down en masse and licked their faces like a new puppy tasting its mother’s milk for the first time.

In the (snark, snark) Too-Good-Not-To-Be-True Category, it seems that Mz. Roesgen applied for employment TWICE in 2005 at the “right wing conservative network Fox”.

Looking out for YOU

Posted by ginnypub on November 6, 2008

If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election.”   Barack Hussein Obama

Mr. Obama’s spokesman, Bill Burton, downgraded the Obama plan to “something that we pursued with the FEC and it was an option that we wanted on the table and is on the table.” Asked about the campaign’s earlier position, Mr. Burton said, “No, there is no pledge.”

“Barack Obama rejected public funding for the fall presidential campaign.”

With $605 million already, Obama asks only $10 more from each of us“.

“With the help of a larger Democratic majority in the Senate, President-elect Obama will likely push for early passage of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. The bill (H.R. 2831, S. 1843).”

“If I help him, he’s gonna help me”.  Peggy Joseph, Obama campaign rally

Indianapolis – Lines were long and tempers flared Wednesday not to vote but to get paid for canvassing for Barack Obama.

“I want my money today! It’s my money. I want it right now!” yelled one former campaign worker.

A former spokesman for the Obama campaign said 375 people were hired as part of the Vote Corps program and said people signed up to work three-hour shifts at a time. Three hours of canvassing got workers a $30 pre-paid Visa card.

The workers showed up to get their cards Wednesday morning at 10:00 am.

“There was a note on the door saying 1:00 pm and then at 1:20 pm everybody was like why is nobody here. They just got here and they’re trying to get it organized,” said Heather Richards, a former campaign worker.

Eventually people did start getting paid, but some said they were missing hours and told to fill in paperwork making their claim and that eventually they would get a check in the mail.

“Still that’s not right. I’m disappointed. I’m glad for the president, but I’m disappointed in this system,” said Diane Jefferson, temporary campaign worker.

“It should have been $480. It’s $230,” said Imani Sankofa.

“They gave us $10 an hour. So we added it. I added up all the hours so it was supposed to be at least $120. All I get is $90,” said Charles Martin.

“I worked nine hours a day for 4 days and got paid half of what I should have earned,” said Randall Waldon.

Some people weren’t satisfied with filling out a claim form for money they felt was still due to them.

“They say that they gonna call you or they going to mail it to you, but I don’t know. We’ll see what happens,” said Antron Grose.

“Talking about they’ll mail it to us. I ain’t worried about that, man. They’re not going to mail nothin’,” said Martin.

Here’s the problem. The workers obviously didn’t understand Barack Hussein Obama’s economic policies. Let me explain. He’s not going to pay you out of his own $600mil. He’s going to tax me into the poor house, then he’ll use the money I worked for to pay you. Got it?
