My Sister is a Psychic!
My sister took a break from the living the high life in Vegas and called on Wed., the day after the election. She (we) were pleased that Virgil Goode (R-VA) had won in her district and my old district. With 100% of the precincts reporting, Rep. Goode had won by 446 votes.
“You just wait, though”, she said, “they’ll keep counting until they find enough votes for Perriello to beat Virgil”.
Cue the Twilight Zone theme….doo doodoo doo doodoo do….
ThursdayMorning:
According to The Associated Press, the lead switched hands a couple of times Wednesday as election officials corrected errors and counted absentee ballots. Perriello was ahead of Goode by 31 votes.
Thursday Afternoon:
600 VOTES for Perriello were “found” in Charlottesville that hadn’t been counted. Perriello up by 648.
Friday Afternoon:
Perriello up by 751. Declares victory. Virgil hasn’t conceded and he damned-well better not!
